Tween Program: Painted Tote Bags

Tween Program

This worked out well for us because we had a box of tote bags hidden away that were begging to be used. Plus we have a system wide t-shirt painting kit. If you don’t have those, fabric paints, paintbrushes, and tote bags will be needed. Other than that, you don’t need much (besides basic clean up supplies and cardboard for inside the bags).

We did discover that regular old masking tape doubles as painter’s tape for the project. It helped stencils stay down and helped up create our own designs.

Not my photo but I used it for inspiration.

Verdict: Messy but a great project. Everyone loved taking something home they’d actually use.
