I’m going to try to structure each month around a different letter and then each week the stories will all be about a word starting with that letter. December is all about the letter S.
This week’s word was Superman
Supertruck by Stephen Savage
Super Sam! by Lori Ries
As usual, we played with our felt pieces & puppets.
We had a blast! I dug out capes left over from SRP for us to wear. The capes were made of plastic tablecloths with a head hole cut out. I was a bit bummed we didn’t have better Superhero stories for the toddler crowd. Between the books above and some Superman/Wonder Woman board books we enjoyed ourselves.
Max by Bob Graham
Ten Rules of Being a Superhero by Deb Pilutti
Do Super Heroes Have Teddy Bears? by Carmela LaVigna Coyle
We ran long so we didn’t get to this.
We worked on matching up the foam numbers in the puzzle. We also worked on the felt pieces and our shapes!
I did the capes with them as well. I dug out some foam stickers for them to decorate their capes with.
It was fun! You can’t go wrong with superheros.
